5 Tips to Improve Your Serve
By Super Admin · 10 July 2026
A good serve can put your opponent under pressure before the rally even begins. Here are five tips our coaches share with players of all levels:
1. Vary your spin — mixing topspin, backspin and sidespin keeps opponents guessing.
2. Keep it low — a low serve over the net is much harder to attack.
3. Disguise your contact point — try to make different serves look the same until the last moment.
4. Practice placement — aim for different areas of the table, not just down the middle.
5. Stay balanced — a rushed serve often loses accuracy, so keep your footwork calm and controlled.
